Potions were one of the healing elements used by witches in the Middle Ages to cure different types of illnesses or diseases. Due to the use of this symbol in literature for centuries, the first thing that comes to mind is the spells or the poison that Juliet took. Today we know that most of the healing methods used in witchcraft were based on natural elements, mostly plants, and most of the active ingredients in current medicines come from these elements.
