Meaning
The symbolism of the sun has been expressed in different ancestral cultures, and is an important figure in all of them. It represents the divine, as it gives life (creative power), is fair (the sun rises for all) and reaches every corner (omnipresence). The sun is what allows life and its constant transformations. Each one of us is a small flame lit at one time by the great fire of the sun. Its light represents the cosmic intelligence that sees everything.
The sun represents renewal, and nature is a great example of this. A tree does not keep its dead leaves during the winter to accumulate more leaves in the spring, but it lets go of what is no longer useful, purifies itself and is reborn renewed in the spring. It leaves behind what has accumulated during the year and is reborn purified, more conscious and having learned from experiences but without carrying their weight.
The sun is movement, struggle, renewal, rebirth and being alive. Giving up the battle and letting yourself be carried away by inertia is the same as being dead.
