The origin of the Goddesses is linked to the creation myths of the world. The feminine principle is associated with the birth or emergence of the cosmos, hence the concept of Mother Goddess or Mother Earth. Many myths present us with a representation of the Goddesses far removed from what is traditionally associated with femininity, linking them to war, hunting, domination, violence, and power. We can take the example of the Amazons as a reference for attributes, mislabeled as masculine.
